Patients
Anaclim strives to recruit ethnically balanced populations of patients that are representative of the disease being studied, and perhaps more importantly, of the future users of the medical treatments being developed.
Minorities are significantly under-represented in clinical research. They are under-represented even in those therapeutic areas where ethnic minorities are disproportionatley affected:
- Diabetes
- Cardiovascular disease (CHF, AMI)
- Hypertension
- Stroke
- AIDS
- Certain cancers
